From March 2–4, 2026, I’ll be in Houston attending the American College of Healthcare Executives Congress on Healthcare Leadership. Each year, this conference brings together healthcare leaders who are committed to learning from one another and improving outcomes across their organizations.

This year’s Congress theme, “Where Purpose Matters,” closely aligns with Chapter 4 of my e-book, Reflection in Practice: A Practical Guide for Transformational Leaders, titled “Connect to Purpose: Turn Compliance into Commitment.”

As an Associate Director with Berkeley Research Group* ("BRG"), we partner with healthcare systems navigating operational complexity, regulatory pressure, workforce challenges, and performance improvement initiatives. That experience continues to reinforce a simple truth: leadership behavior determines whether strategy succeeds or stalls. Culture is shaped in moments. Trust is built in decisions. Purpose must be translated into action.

What I’m Looking Forward to in Houston

I’m particularly interested in sessions that focus on leadership behavior—how leaders act during difficult decisions, how they communicate expectations, and how their presence shapes culture over time. These everyday behaviors influence trust, engagement, and performance more than any single initiative.

Let’s Continue the Conversation

I welcome the opportunity to connect with fellow healthcare leaders who value thoughtful discussion and practical leadership. If you’re traveling to the conference, my e-book offers a reflective read that aligns with many of the topics on the agenda and works well for a flight or a quiet moment before sessions begin.

If you do take a look, I’d enjoy continuing the conversation in Houston and hearing what resonated with you. ACHE Congress creates space for meaningful dialogue, and I look forward to connecting in person. You’re welcome to leave a comment or reach out to me directly at scott@drscottwolf.com.
